Setu Chhaya is an architectural and interior photographer based in Surat, India, working pan-India under his practice, Studio Beyond Walls. With a background in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, SCET, Surat, he brings a designer’s eye to every project, ensuring spaces are captured with sensitivity and intent.​

Specializing in natural light photography, his work focuses on preserving the true ambience of a space, whether it’s filled with soft overcast tones, bright sunlit corners, or the moody calm of a monsoon day. His process avoids artificial strobes and heavy enhancements, relying instead on timing, long exposures, and refined editing to stay true to the atmosphere designers envisioned.

His work has been featured in leading publications such as Elle Decor India, Home & Design Trends (Home Publication), and Yinjispace, alongside earlier recognitions from Outlook Traveller, Incredible India, and National Geographic Traveller India for his travel photography. Today, his portfolio spans collaborations with architects, interior designers, and brands who value an honest, natural approach to visual storytelling, images that allow spaces to breathe and speak for themselves.
